Many people experience the sadness of being separated from their grandchildren, yet it’s something that’s often hard to talk about and can feel very isolating. Grandparents Apart is a gentle, welcoming social group for u3a members who share this experience.

Come along for coffee, cake and friendly conversation with others who understand what this situation can feel like.

This isn’t a counselling or discussion group, and there’s no expectation to talk about personal circumstances. It’s simply a chance to connect with people who “get it”, enjoy some company, and feel less alone.

If you’d like a warm space to meet others with similar experiences, you’ll be very welcome at Grandparents Apart.
