Rob Elliott gave this month's presentation on The British Army in the 18th Century. He covered in particular the 1740s and 1750s. This period covers the War of Austrian Succession, the Seven Years War and the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion (he talked about Lichfield's small role in suppressing it).

Rob is an amateur historian and re-enactor and brought a selection of reproduction uniforms, edged weapons, firearms and accoutrements for people to look at and examine.
