TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
- Abide by the “Member of Lichfield u3a Code of Conduct” and the “Principles of the u3a Movement” linked to therein.
- Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute.
- Abide by the terms and conditions of the “Lichfield u3a Constitution”.
- Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee.
- Advise the committee of any change in your personal details.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
Lichfield u3a processes member information so that we can keep you informed about Events, Groups and activities as part of your membership. Lichfield u3a’s lawful basis for collecting this information is legitimate interest. In processing your information Lichfield u3a will:
- Store it securely.
- Use it to communicate with you as a u3a member.
- Share your information with group leaders/convenors for those groups that you are a member of.
- Send you general information about the Third Age Trust.
Affordable Membership
- Our membership year runs from 1st June to 31st May, with full annual membership at just £12 per person.
- From January onwards, membership costs £8 and lasts until 31st May.
Which of our Group(s) “float your boat”?
Are you wanting to join us with a view to attending a specific group, or indeed more than one? Click here to see the full range of our Groups.
If so, please look at that Group’s page, and if you like what you see, and the Group is not Full (or perhaps even so?), contact the Group’s Leader by clicking on their name near the top of the Group’s page, expressing your interest; they can then give you more information, and arrange for you to attend your first session.
You are allowed to attend two of a Group’s sessions, before you must join to be able to continue.
If you’ve already contacted (a) Group Leader(s), and/or attended your first session(s), then please use one of the two methods of joining, below.
Easy online payment is our preferred method for new members joining!
Payments are handled securely via PayPal, BUT YOU DON’T NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. On the form, linked to below, simply choose “Check out as guest” to pay by debit or credit card.

- Membership Application Form (Word) to complete electronically and submit by email.
- Membership Application Form (PDF) to download, print, complete by hand, and submit by post.
Details of the Membership Secretary’s email address, postal address and Lichfield u3a bank details are all indicated on the Membership Introduction & Information Sheet. An electronic membership card will be emailed to you unless you enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope so that a printed Membership Card can be sent to you.
